RADECS 2019, the 30 years anniversary edition of the European Conference on Radiation and its Effects on Components and Systems, was organized by the Institute of Electronics and Systems (IES) of the University of Montpellier, with the support of CNRS.

The event took place at Le Corum conference center, downtown Montpellier, France.

The conference included a full-day short-course, technical sessions (oral and poster presentations), a data workshop, and an industrial exhibition.

The Short-Course theme was « Prepare for the next decade » and included five talks by experts in their respective fields.

The conference technical program included nine technical sessions with a total of 52 oral presentations and 87 poster presentations, a data workshop with 28 posters, and 2 invited talks.

Three RADECS Student Grants were offered to promote students participation to the conference, based on the quality of their submission to the technical program.

The industrial exhibit counted 48 exhibitors for two days and a half, with a cocktail reception on Tuesday evening.

The social program included a Sunday tour in the Pic Saint-Loup area, companion tours around Montpellier, and a welcome reception at the Fabre museum. Finally, the 30th anniversary gala dinner hosted at the Chateau de Pouget, near Montpellier, was the occasion to celebrate the history and success of RADECS in the presence of its founding members.

A partnership was established with ESREF2019, the European reliability physics conference held in Toulouse the week after RADECS, to offer a reduced dual registration fee to people attending both conferences.

For the first time at RADECS, attendees had the option to drop their conference bag for recycling at the end of the week. In the end, nearly 80 conference bags, including pens and notepads, were collected and later distributed to primary schools in Senegal by a local education development association.
